Pediatric Clinical Geneticist
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) is recruiting a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist to join our comprehensive team in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Position Details:
- Primary focus on general pediatric genetics with opportunity for limited metabolic consult cross-coverage (with metabolic geneticist backup available)
- Collaborative coverage model supported by subspecialty expertise within the team
- Collegial and cohesive Genetics team including 2 Pediatric Geneticists (including 1 Metabolic Geneticist), 3 Certified Genetic Counselors, and 1 Registered Clinical Pediatric Dietitian (Metabolic)
- Strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and shared care planning
- In addition to providing clinical care, participation in research will be strongly encouraged.
- Qualified candidates are eligible for an academic appointment at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (academic rank is open and commensurate with experience).
Program Overview:
Comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of pediatric patients with genetic conditions
Services include genetic counseling, testing, and longitudinal follow-up care
Care provided across the pediatric spectrum, from newborn through age 21
Support available for transition of patients into adult care when appropriate
Practice Highlights:
Broad clinical genetics exposure within a well-established pediatric health system
Integrated multidisciplinary model supporting both genetic and metabolic patient populations
Strong team-based environment focused on high-quality, coordinated patient care
Several genetic multidisciplinary clinics including cardiac genetics, neurocutaneous disorders, 22q deletion syndrome and Turner syndrome
JHACH is home to a CAP accredited biorepository, and our program has hired an in-house biochemical laboratory geneticist

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Board Eligibility/Certification (BE/BC) in Clinical Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)
- Eligible for Florida medical licensure
